Questions1. please solve questions ((A & B)):
A. Why is it necessary to use % fat, BMI and frame size on the same
individual?
B. What is the difference between essential and nonessential fat
when we consider the
types of fat our body has?
a. Body frame size is not used when calculating BMI; instead, you can figure out your BMI using your height and weight. The BMI measurement does not take into account body composition or sex differences, so its accuracy is debatable. The frame size of a body is determined by a circumference of a person's wrist in relation to his height. Also, BMI is determined by the height and weight of a person. So all these values should be of the same individual to determine his body statistics properly.
BMI does not take into account how much of your weight is fat, and how much are muscles and tissue. So all these should be measured in the same individual to assess the real picture of the person.
b. Our body needs some fat to carry out necessary and healthy functions. This essential body fat is stored in our bones, organs, central nervous system and in our muscles. Men and women need different amounts of essential body fat. The fat that is not needed for vital functions is called non-essential fat.
