please please give me a thumbs up sir:

Data mining also known as knowledge discovery has gained lot of importance among researchers because of its utilization in engineering, medicine and science. Data mining concepts and methods are meant for extracting structured data from unstructured data. The process involved are mathematical analysing techniques and induction process for extracting , deriving meaningful patterns in data. Data mining is considered as a part of Knowledge Discovery in Databases combined with statistics, pattern recognition tools. By differentiating direct correlation and discovery in a data , we can effectively convert patterns into meaningful insights. Even-though data mining has numerous advantages, it lacks from security as well as privacy problems.

There are certain features present in every knowledge discovery system such as:

Handling various kinds of data:

Since there are many different kinds of relational databases available in various applications, data mining experts should be prepared to handle these kinds of data. Moreover , the databases also contain complex data objects , spatial data and temporal data.

Effectiveness of data mining algorithms:

The running time of algorithms must be scalable and predicable such a way algorithms can handle larger databases.

Data mining employs advanced data search statistical algorithms for obtaining patterns in datawarehouse.
