Distinguish between different approaches to project leadership and discuss what you see as the relevancies of each of the approaches.

Different approaches of project leadership :-

There are mainly four different approaches of project leadership. These are :-

1. Visionary.
2. Coaching.
3. Affiliative.
4. Commanding.

Difference between them :-

a. Visionary project leaders ecourages the employees to participate in resolving the problems which comes as a barrier which achieving the goals.

Coaching project leader helps to link the personal goal of the employees and that of the organization's goal.

Affiliative leaders' main interest is to engage the employees in the active participation of the decision making process so that they may not become negative.

Commanding project leaders is when there is in need of strict care and when there is some risks surrounding in the project site such as construction project work.

b. Visionary leadership approach is used to communicate with the team members effectively.

Coaching approach is used to focus on the employees' career development and skills.

Affiliated leaders tries to grow emotions in between the employees so that the team would be stronger.

Commanding leaders are very strict and takes necessary action against the employees who doesn't follow the orders.

Relevance between them :-

a. All the project leader approaches needs good communication with the employees.

b. All these approaches directly or indirectly helps the employees in their career growth.

c. These approaches aims to achieve goals and objectives for an organisation with the help of the employees.
