1. Mainframe

They are used to process a large amount of data, they can be called as the master computer or the shared server which has all the data of the organization. They have an extremely powerful processing speed and a lot of space built which can be used for saving a large volume of data. Hence can be called as the data house.

2. Desktop:

They are the basis computers which is an aggregation of multiple hardware attached to it such as CPU, keyboard, mouse etc for its functioning. They are good for an individuals work and stationary in nature.
