frederick hezerberg's theory shows employee satisfaction is depending upon two set of issues which are hygine issues and motivators. hygine issue when addresses creates satisfaction among employees. hygine consist of following :administrative policies of a company ,supervision, salary, interpersonal relations, conditions of working and motivators consist of the following work itself, achievement, recognition, responsibility and reward.

applicability of this theory in consultants in construction team.

when we need to motivate consultants first step is to address there hygine issues. considering first hygine issue.

administrative policy: though administative policy by there own cant really motivate the consultants but making the policy fair and that they will apply to all will make a sense of responsibility and decrease the dissatisfaction among them.unreasonable strict policy and penalties should be avoided.

supervision: a friendly supervison is a much helpful tool. one should never point out all the negative point of his teams consultants so that he didnt feel that he is singled out, giving positive feedback whenever neessary and as frequently you can will increase the satisfaction of consultants.

salary: this is the real motivatior in all aspect of work. a good salary and clear policy regarding salary rewards and bonuses will cheer teams and cosnsultant to stay motivated and work harder.

interpersonall realtions: giving ample of time to consultant to brainstorm and socilaise will help in increaseing the bond between them and there team work abiltiy will increase.

working condition : favourable working conditons are boon for the worker. getting you consultants up to-date material ,even a new chair can boost there morale.

now talking about motivators, first one is achievement as no one wants to fail hence identifying the true potential of your consultant and helping him to get sucess will boost him. goals and standard should be taught to consultants and the goals should be achievable, no goal should be such that it can not be  achieved.

if we give ownership of his own work to a consultant he will do it whole heartedly this sense of resposibilty is greatest motiavtor.

rewarding employee for there achievement in term of bonuses or promotion will boost the morale and motivate the employee.
