Internet is both good and bad. We live in a Digital Age or Internet Age, or the Information Age. Digitalization and technological innovations have made human life convenient and fast. Today, something which is extremely vital but can be available or be at our disposal instantly is information. Information is the boon of internet. Internet has made the world a smaller place to live in. The world, today, has shrink to a “global village”, owing to the benefits of internet. We cannot imagine a life without internet. Communication is the key to information gap. It is extremely vital for effective and efficient functioning of an organization, business, family, and many such units or groups. Internet has made communication easier and simpler. We can communicate with anyone around the world due to internet. Internet fuels globalization, making the big world we live in a more connected and interdependent place. This has made rapid transfer or exchange of information and trade convenient and simpler. Human beings are social animals. Internet has changed the way people used to socialize. Specifically, human socialization is dominated by social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Watsapp. What is fueling this digital socialization is internet. Also, internet has made travel, banking, entertainment, etc much more easier, at the convenience of our homes or offices. Internet continues to be multi-dimensional and dynamic. A study called the-"USE OF INTERNET FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES BY RESEARCH SCHOLARS: A STUDY OF D.S.B. CAMPUS OF KUMAUN UNIVERSITY-NAINITAL" by Singh Gagan and Pant Rakesh found that a majority of the researchers use the website for educational purpose. Internet, today, has become very useful in the field of education. This is evident from the current lockdown situation prevailing globally in which education is fueled by digitalization.

Internet is bad in the way that people have become addicted to internet. They are more digitally aware at the expense of the awareness about their immediate surroundings. This has adversely affected immediate and close relationships. Cyber crimes have resulted due to internet. People's privacy has been hampered due to cyber crime on internet. People need to be extremely cautiously about the harmful effects of internet. They should use internet wisely, understanding its pros and cons.
