Discuss the role of having a detailed timeline in place when implementing a new plan into an organization. How often should the implementation plan be revisited? Will ongoing changes occur during an implementation? How could you plan for unforeseen changes?
The role of having a detailed timeline in place when implementing a new plan into an organization is critical to its success or failures. Timelines help the organization to have an estimate on which the resources are used for a particular task or activity and also helps keep track of the progress. Detailed timeline helps in having all the task meticulously planned so that we can assess the progress of the activity e of implementation of a new plan and after certain criteria or steps are completed we can sure that the plan of the direction of the implementation is as per the expected timeline. the implementation plan should be regularly revisited so that we get an idea how effectively the plan is completing and are we on the same time line which we played initially or have been there any challenges that our during the proposed plan. by revisiting we can understand the complexities and the problems that are occurring in the implementation and can and force rethinking group to analyse the problem faced and to plan a timeline that can complete the task of the implementation. The going changes can be reviewed and the decision can be taken during the implementation process so that we do not lose any more resources after implementing the changes after the plan has been already approved and implemented in the first place. the ongoing changes have to be reviewed for feasibility and then and only then added into the implementation plan if it does not disturb the overall timeline of the implementation program. The unforeseen changes can be planned or reviewed with discussion with your all planners and the execution committee and help analyse and circumvent the problems if there are any during the implementation of the plan. Unforeseen changes dedicated time can be allotted so that if there are any changes it can be incorporated while not disturbing the timeline and ensure the implementation process is in proper time frame.
