As per The Humanities Through the Arts, "Contemporary rituals such as some weddings and funerals involve motion that can be thought of as dance motion." What is another contemporary ritual that involves dance motion?
"Do we need to know the meanings of the ritual gestures in order to appreciate the motion of the ritual?" Why or why not?
Ans. (a):- Another contemporary ritual that involves dance motion can be the celebration of birth of a child. One can express their joy, achievement, success, and love through dance for himself or for others. It gives an emotion of love & joy to others.
You can say dance is a language by which one can express one's feeling to others. For example, someone can not speak i.e. deaf but he/she can express his/her love feeling for his/her beloved one by dance motion. In other words, We can say dance is an art and a form of communication, it not only releases emotion and intent, but also it symbolizes liveliness.
Ans. (b):- I do not think that one needs to know the meaning of ritual gestures in order to appreciate the motion of the ritual
Ans. (c):- Beacause the appreciation comes from the decision of inner soul or one's own persepectives.
Ans. (d):- The decision came from the inner soul can never be changed by any means or there is no way that anyone can alter one's perspective. For example, if someone dances very well and expressed his/her emotion through dancing on a stage, then there will not be any person who will not appreciate by clapping whether he/she knows ritual gesture or not.
