Q3)A very common example of a component which experiences fatigue are bolts in steel structures .A bolt is used to join or clamp two components together in a structure .A bolt resists the hydrostatic force and external loads to prevent separation of the components therefore , experiencing a continuous force which can cause fatigue in the bolt.

Q4)In question 3 , as i have mentioned the usage of bolts in steel structures .Bolts are cheaper and are used in economically limited structures .If the design was not economically limited , welding is preferable over bolts to join the steel components .Welding is stronger than bolts and increases the strength of the structure because it increases the fatigue resistance of the joint (as it has higher fatigue resistance than bolts ).
