Describe the basic technical process of communication (Figure 8.3). Using this model, describe ways managers can overcome the barriers to effective communication.
Communication is very essential part of any for of activities and better communicator always have much command over the communication. Communication is requiring to complete any activities and practices in our day to day life.
These are the following technical process of communication-
1) Sender - There should be a sender one who send the information and sender is an initiator of message. After generating the idea sender encodes this in a such a way that easily available to receiver.
2) Transmission - The information that sender wants to communicate is transmitted over a channel through which the message travel to the receiver.
3) Noise - Noise is anything that has a disturbing influence on the message. Sender should choose a channel that is noise free.
4) Receiver - Receiver is one who attending the message and receiver always ready to receive the message.
5) Feedback - A message generated by the receiver in a response to the senders original message is known as feedback.
These are the following ways managers can overcome the barriers to effective communication-
1) Use of simple language
2) Reduction in noise level
3) Eliminating the difference in perceptions
4) Active listening
5) Emotional state
6) Proper media selection
7) Avoiding information overload
