hello and hope you doing well. I plan to be a civil engineer as senior but I have question hope you help me thanks:

I know Civil Engineer need PE license but if I do not pass many time and if I give up. I will not officially call as engineer.

But if you know which job high pay salaries if I have BS degree and not pass PE ?

Hope you lists some good job without PE degree related BS civil but will have bright future and promotion ?

Sorry if my question strange but I really want to know which job will have bright future with high pay salaries without PE because I would like to prepare carefully if I did not pass PE

Usually in USA, even if you dontn have masters degree, then they consider you for jobs. They always say in US, that a masters degree can be substituted by 1 year of work experience.

Now a PE is very much required if you want to climb up to very senior levels. A PE allows you to check drawings, and then put your stamp and sign to certify it is checkes. Any reviewingg client once they know that a PE has stamped a drawing, means they are confident and happy and know that it has been checked and will meet the design requirements.

PE also helps when you include your resume in bidding for any project. Company lists your name with your PE and it adds weight to the bid.

But you can still work witho ut a PE . You can start working as a transportation modeller into travel demand modelling using VISUM, VISSIM software and help in preparing microsimmulation for large transport projects. Usually for highway design, and structural design, and water, geotechnical its very advantageous to have a PE, but for transport planning there are alternatives to PE like PTOE,TE, TPP kind of certifications, where chances of clearing them are better.

In any case even if you dont have PE, you can become a very good strategic or microsimulation modeler.
