some nations are better than others in innovation and creativity. Explain this in 300-400 words ( please donot copy from internet
Innovative nations have strong university research systems,
without which it would be almost impossible to attract the talent
required to drive innovation. High quality scientific and technical
staff gravitate to places that have the necessary resources to
create new inventions and technologies.
A lot of creativity happens at the edge of cultures. Usually we
think of race, gender , and ethnicity when we see the term
"diversity" But it is really the cognitive differences that go hand
in hand with our differences in identity which create better
business results.
Different groups offer various ways to represent problems and
situations, classify and interpret information, come up with
solutions and predict results. Their mutual intelligence is greater
than the sum of its pieces.
A nation can have all the raw materials it needs to innovate, but
if the market does not want what it produces, there will be no
incentive for it to do so. The demand side of creativity is usually
correlated with youth, because let's face it: youth are more likely
to try new things and not be burdened by the old way things are
done.
Some might argue that by requiring companies to jump through
hoops, regulations can actually stymie innovation. But they still
promote it, in several ways.
No company will devote massive amounts of resources to R&D if
anyone can simply copy their products, not to mention sell them at
a fraction of the price. Innovative countries respect those rights
of intellectual property. They offer patent protection and honor
contracts (e.g. licensing agreements, buy-and - sell agreements),
which allow innovative individuals and businesses to earn
reasonable returns on their investments.
While several Asian countries have already surpassed the U.S. in terms of producing innovation's so-called "raw materials" (e.g. high citizen educational achievement, number of graduates to become engineers and scientists, speed and penetration of broadband Internet service), they are still not nearly as innovative.
