Lean supply management is better in some industries rather than other industries because:

1. Nature of business: The supply management is depended upon the nature of business that what kind of business you are doing. If the business is of such nature that goods are sensitive in nature or are perishable in nature, then it requires due care. The basic concept will be depended upon this factor only because all other factors and steps are secondary.
2. Size of industry: Size of industry or your business also matters. If the business is of large scale and not a small one than it would be difficult to supply goods within a quick span of time or quicker than that of small scale business.
3. Transportation: Mode of transportation also affects the effect of lean supply management in different industries. As if goods are of small size and weight also matters which has direct impact over the mode of transportation.
4. External Factors: These are those ftctors which affects the business through external factors. Some of the external factors are political factor, legal factor and technological factor. In case where it is a legal regulation that industries need to follow certain guidelines or steps in a particular state then it would automatically affect the business as well as supply chain because they all are inter-connected.
