Inspection procedure followed when surgical masks arrive:

Step 1: Ensure that all the boxes are labelled with bar codes that would include product codes and the description of the product

Step 2: Then check the description and other important characteristics (use pre-prepared checklists) of the product received with the invoice. Note any differences (if any).

Step 2: Post that, check the number of boxes and the number of masks per box

Step 3: Randomly check the quality of randomly chosen masks and compare it with the reference masks (if available) and check the grade (N95, N99 or others) of masks received. Note any discrepancies

Step 4: Put all the defective boxes/masks aside (if any)

Step 5: Move all the checked boxes to the "checked area"

Step 6: Report all the findings and sign the bill copy

Step 7: Update the supplier that the products have been received and accepted (If there are no defects and the products received matches with the desired products)
