Expert Solution

Answer- Stanley Milgram, a famous psychologist of Yale University, provided the studies of obedience. His experiment was based on the conflict between obedience to authority and personal experiences. The main aim of Milgram's study was to find out how far people would go in obeying some instructions if it is related to harming other people. He also tried to research the influence of a cruel act on people. Milgram concluded through his experiment that people like to follow orders given by any authority. They generally obey orders if they know that their officials are morally and legally right. This type of obedience can be seen in different parts of the society like school, offices, family and community. I think that the studies of Milgram was not ethically right because it did harms to the participants and giving electric shock is not a right way to get the work done. The study is about confusing the people rather than explaining the appropriate definition of obedience to them.
