1. The Stanford prison experiment was conducted in Stanford University in order to find out the effects of perception on the individuals in a psychological way . The main focus of the experiment was the struggle which took place between the officers and prisoners . In the experiment individuals who volunteered themselves were assigned roles of guards and prisoners .It was done by flipping a coin. In the experiment many students left it in the middle . Guards started doing psychological and physical abuse .Zimbardo was the superintendent of the mock prison . The experiment was stopped after 6 days only .In my personal opinion there are a number of problems associated with the experiment .First absence of neutral observers . In my opinion it is kind of a demonstration .The prisoners were not treated ethically and the guards beheaded in a very dangerous way inflicting physical and psychological harm to prisoners . Also the evidence was anecdotal and the conclusion which was produced was subjective .
