1) Milgram conducted his experiment in 18 different variation which showed the possible factors that were responsible for obedience seen in his study. Out of the few, 3 factors are as follows:

1. The proximity of the authority figure: When the experimenter instructed the participant to increase the shock level over a telephone call, their obedience was found to be decreased. When they were nearby, the participants obeyed more.
2. Not being held responsible for their action: The participants obeyed when they were told that they were not responsible for their actions.
3. Authenticity of the authority figure: When the experimenter who wore a lab coat, ordered, the obedience was more. But when the experimenter acted to leave the room due to some reason, and a layman in common clothes entered the room and instructed the participant, the obedience level dropped.

2) Three factors that makes persuasion more likely are:

1. Speaker: When the speaker is trustworthy, authentic, reliable.
2. Message: When the message being coveyed is important & rational, draws attention, clear (i.e., not abstract), of personal relevance to the audience.
3. Audience: When the audience is interested, good listener, have personal interest in the message being conveyed.
