The five kingdoms are as follows:
Monera: The organisms of this kingdom are unicellular may or may not move, have a cell wall, have no chloroplasts or other organelles, and have no nucleus.
Protists: These are unicellular microscopic organisms which move by various mechanisms like cilia, flagella, or by amoeboid mechanisms. They may or may not have a cell wall. The cells have a nucleus, some have chloroplasts and some dont Nutrients are acquired by various mechanims like photosynthesis, ingestion or both. |
Plantae: These are multicellular organisms th cells of which have chloroplast and cell walls. Nutrients are aqquired by photosynthesis. They are non motile( gamates may be motile).
Fungi: Organisms in this kingdom are multicellular or unicellular and have a cell wall , organelles but no chloroplast. They do not have locomotive organs. They obtain nutrients by absorption. They are mostly saprophytic. Fungi can range from microscopic sizes to large macroscopic mushrooms.
Animalia:Th eorganisms in this kingdom are multicellular and move using various locomotive organs. They have cellular organelles but no chloroplast or cell walls. Their mode of nutrition is by injestion.
