ANS a) Glycogen phosphorylase kinase gene is the gene which phosphorylase the glycogen phosphorylase hence activating it .glycogen phosphorylase which involve in breakdown of glycogen to release glucose.
if mutation occur in glycogen phosphorylase kinase gene then activation of gycogen phosphorylase not occur and this process will be slow . if a affected person eat glucose rich meal then no problem in glycogen synthesis if glucose is access, hence the level of glucose will be normal.
ANS b) Glycogen synthase kinase 3 gene release glycogen synthatase kinase 3 enzyme which phosphrylase glycogen synthatase and inhibiting it.
if mutation occur in glycogen synthase kinase 3 gene then one of the inhibitor no more hence glycogen synthase enzyme work smoothely and invove in glycogen synthesis from glucose.
if a affected person eat glucose rich meal then no problem in glycogen synthsis from additonal glucose hence level of glucose again normal .
