Workplace discrimination, and, harassment
Employment discrimination that violates the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.It is unwelcome conduct based on religion, race, colour, and, gender, age, genetic information or disability. Harassment at a workplace is unlawful when the conduct is severe enough that the person will consider intimidating, and, enduring the discrimination becomes a condition for employment. Laws also do not allow retaliation for reporting harassment. Laws protect those with additional characteristics. Employer's liability comes from the actions of the supervisory employees. The employer can exercise defence if the employer exercised reasonable care.
