The idea of building community can assist learners to connect and support one another. Building community can be described as a group of individuals with common goals working together to meet those goals.

  • Discuss how you can build and manage a learning community in your course that is composed of at least 18 students.
    • What guidelines would you incorporate?
    • Describe the policies and practices that can promote learning and growth. This may include use of e-mail, "netiquette," chat rooms, or other collaborative document management for group or team project.

To build a community that promote learning and supporting one another, we can reach out different students and discuss the idea with them. We will discuss the benefit of such community and about the interesting projects we are planning for the near future. Open discussion amoung students and fun activities will lift this idea.

Once we get the preferred number of students in our community, we will incorporate certain guidelines like a zero tolerance policy against any kind of abuse, equal rights and chances for everyone to keep their point, fair election of a leader or a cordinator.

To promote learning and growth -

  • Open mic session will be organized on regular basis so that everyone can share their knowledge with others.
  • Tours and travels programs to historical and educational places can be organised once or twice in a month.
  • Take help of local professional to take sessions to enhance our knowledge or resolve conflicts.
  • Organize public relation campaign to promote certain cause or to raise awareness about something.
  • Workshops can be organized as well as professionals can be invited to lead certain workshops.
