Answer 1
Open circulatory system v/s closed circulatory system
A. Blood flows:
Closed circulation - When blood flow through vessels likr arteries and veins inside the body, it is called as closed circulation.
Open circulation - When vessels containing the blood is absent and blood flows freely through the cavities of the body, it is called as open circulatory system
B. Example -
Open circulatory system: It is observed in invertebrates.
Closed circulatory system: It is observed in vertebrates and a some invertebrates Example earthworms.
C. Speee of blood
In open circulatory system speed of blood is slow while in closed circulatory system speed of blood is very fast.
D. Fluid flow
The fluid that flow in open circulatory system is hemolymph and fluid that flow in close circulatory system is blood.
Answer 2
Difference between atrioventricular and semilunar valves
1. Atrioventricular (AV) Valves -
They are thin structures that are made up of endocardium and connective tissue. These valves are situated between the atria and the ventricle
Types of atrii ventricular valve
a. Right atrio ventricular valve - Tricuspid valve
b.Left atrio ventricular valve - Bicuspid / mitral valve
2. Semilunar Valves-
They are flaps of endocardium and connective tissue that are reinforced by fiber. Due to this, turning inside out is avoided. Shaped of the semilunar valve is like a half moon due to this it is named as semilunar.
They are situated between the aorta and the left ventricle and also located between the pulmonary artery and the right ventric.
Types of semilunar valves:
a. Pulmonary semilunar valves
b. Aortic semilunar valves.
