Expert Solution

Being a CEO of a Local Hospital, here, in order to facilitate superior strategy execution, I can develop various policies and procedures and these are as stated below:

  • I should create a system to protect patient’s medical and personal data. There should be privacy on patient’s data. I should implement a system that works on bridging better communication in between patient and doctors or physicians. Here, patient’s data can be recorded using Electronic health record system and the procedures will describe how data will be taken from each patent and what would be role of health care staff and physician to take such data.
  • I should build policies that bring policies for physicians, staffs and customers. I should be creating ethical code of conduct that will govern every one’s behavior and the system should be built to describe and list practices to maintain such policies.
  • Another policy is to be maintained that will administer grievance of several stakeholders. Here, procedures will describe how to file and submit any grievance and how many days they should wait to get the reply.

Here, various actions can be realized to receive value from TQM or Six Sigma initiatives, further, we can promote culture of operating excellence, these actions are as stated below:

  • The first initiative would be engagement of all employees in quality activities. It is unlike traditional organization, all employees will be engaged and taking responsibility for fulfilling the organizational objective.
  • Build customer focused processes and requirements as we should be more engaged in such activities which are of customer’s needs. Customer should be receiving the value from organizational system.
  • Another important action is process orientation, with this action, we will be more focused on implementing internal processes and we will work on continual process improvement.
  • Defining project objective, building current process map, measure current process activities, build fact based decision making steps, implement effective communication planning.
  • Improving several control measure to align the process activities with needed planning, defining organization’s goal, strategic objective, mission and vision will also help us receive value from TQM or Six Sigma initiatives.
