Netflix only hires people who can work effectively as part of a team. Netflix’s policy of brutal honesty helps to build trust between colleagues as well as with management. It encourages ownership through flexibility like unlimited holidays. These values help to boost employees’ loyalty and productivity and it lead to organizational success and helps to gain competitive advantage over others. “People over process” is the company’s corporate culture’s core value.
Netflix’s idea of culture is bases on two premises: be honest and treat people like adults. Netflix reinvented the world of human resource. It is successful because of its workplace culture. It turns out to be a place where employees like to be. It encourages independent decisions making be employees, share information openly, broadly and deliberately, culture is extraordinarily candid with each other, keep only highly effective people and avoid rules; these are the some culture changing actions which are taken by Netflix.
