Citizen Bank employees shows little trust for its management team and it is aware that information is not shared and communication within the organization is insufficient.
Chris Korr, was given the task by one of his managers to select and implement an investment management software at the Citizen Bank.
This software is to be used to eliminate the use of paper and beef up departmental transactions. The department that responded to the software change were audit, compliance, investment and wealth departments. The team selected for implementing the software comprised primarily of personnel from the wealth management department.
The software selected by Mr. Korr along with the project team is now being adapted and used by the organization. Many employees complained that the software is not as user friendly as the previous one that was used, even if a surveyed was done, the eventual choice was not the best and cost millions of dollars.
The software that was chosen was the leading brand in many developed countries, used by many banks. However, employees have indicated that the software was not user friendly and has many deficiencies and in returned the software prevents employees from fulfilling critical job functions. An employee from the Compliance Department stated that “the software did not take into consideration the peculiarities of the Caribbean and assumed that one size fits all.”
The wealth management team that were responsible for implementation have all left the organization.

Communication for managing change at the Citizen’s Bank, also
known as communication for change and sustainable social
development, involves the use of communication techniques to deal
with inefficient processes, processes, or production methods in a
specific location. One that did not lead to great technological
advances. Various means and methods are used to help people in the
target society to gain new knowledge and skills. This will allow
the community to not only experience change but also lead.
Possible strategies for achieving sustainability and development
put people in the community at the center of the communication
process. This technique is also known as a participatory approach
in which interpersonal communication takes place through community
media. Members of a culture are agents of change, unlike outsiders,
who can provide all the necessary tools. Technology is then applied
by people in their social and economic contexts and leads to a
great creative process. Participatory approaches can be combined
with three other types of communication methods to call for
effective social change. These include: attitudes, attitudes, mass
communication, and advocacy.
Different media can be used to achieve health governance and
sustainable development. Old media can be combined with new media
to educate specific groups of the population. Information and
communication technologies, in addition to multimedia, can
withstand visual and auditory audiences and are contributing
significantly to economic growth. Questions need to be raised about
stakeholders, politicians, partners and practitioners, and what are
their goals for communities seeking sustainable development. Agenda
setters are often those who fund projects and may include
international agencies, bilateral agencies, national authorities,
NGOs and local organizations.
Before projecting, decision makers consider whether the
introduction of new technologies will disrupt religion, language,
political organization, economics, family relationships, and the
complexity of the target society. Other factors that may include
existing policies and laws, the education system, the provision of
services, institutions and organizational structures (in the form
of corruption, bureaucracy, etc.), demographic, social and economic
aspects, and the physical environment must also be taken into
account.
