Compare and contrast the leadership roles played by Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and Xi Jinping.
China, is the country that stands as the most populous in the world. Even if there are eight minor parties, politically they have less and limited power. The only political party that possess effective power at national level is Communist Party of China. So that, we can assume China as a state with one party which is CPC and its dominance practically makes China as a one party state. A supreme power is there always in every political parties across the world, when we consider China, the head and the highest ranking official are same namely 'The General Secretary of the Communist Party of China'.
Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping , they are well known politicians and held the position of The General Secretary. Presently it is Xi Jinping who came in charge on 15th November in the year 2012 as the successor of Hu jintao who was preceded by Jiang Zemin. Hu jintao served as the General Secretary for ten years from 15th November 2002 till 15th November 2012. Jiang Zemin was in charge for a period of almost thirteen years from 24th June 1989 to 15th November 2002 and served as the President of the People's Republic of China ( 1993-2003) and Chairman of the Central Military commission ( 1990-2005) as well. Hu Jintao was the successor of Jiang Zemin in all the three positions meanwhile Hu Jintao held the position as the Vice president during Jiang Zemin served as the President of People's Republic. Xi Jinping became the successor of Hu Jintao in all positions and also served as the Vise president of the People's Republic when Hu jintao held as president same as him. Xi Jinping has slightly a difference among the three, as he served as the secretary of defence minister who was Geng Biao during 1979-1982 in General office of the Central Military Commission. Xi Jinping was the only one who was re-elected as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and he became the successor of himself by holding the position for the second time.
