Give your personal opinion about Miranda V Arizona case
Miranda vs. Arizona case was based on custodial interrogations.
Miranda was arrested on the charge of rape and kidnapping from his
home. He was interrogated for more than hours at the interrogation
room, and hence he confessed his guilt. He was turned up in the
judicial process at the supreme court of Arizona. He submitted both
oral and written confession to the court. He was identified as
guilty in the court, and he was sentenced to imprisonment for 20 to
30 years on each court he appealed. The supreme court of Arizona
verdict that the constitutional rights of Miranda were not violated
while obtaining the confession.
I think the case was critical because it brought a change in the
judicial procedure. The case verdict was that defendant's
statements are no acceptable n the court unless he has been
informed about his right to have an attorney during the judicial
interrogation. It was a landmark that allowed the equal judicial
rights of both plaintiff and defendant in a legal process.
