Water is important resource for all sytems. There are different sources for water like rivers, wells, ground water etc.Rural people generally depends on wells, rivers ,ponds for household consumption purpose.Well water is one of the predominant resource used by rural people. Most of the contaminated diseases are spread through the water so regular testing of water is important parameter. Some typical testing of well water includes the things like 1)arsenic contamination 2)harness of water(presence of calcium salts of chlorides,carbonates)3)nitrates 4)testing for metals like lead, copper 5)presence of coliform bacteria levels 6)in some areas presence of radioactive pollutants levels etc.
Water testing should be performed both qualitatively and quantitatively during examination of well water. There are two types of wells like private wells which are owned by private persons and public wells which belongs to every one.The cost for testing should be beared by owners for private wells where as in public wells governament is responsible for the testing costs, however it is not constant in all states, places all over world it depends on the situation of the circumstances.
