Children who spend more time playing alone are at a great risk of adjustment difficulties whereas children who are socially assertive, cooperative and are likely to be not very good in their academics and friendly are likely to be good in their academics and demonstrate a higher psychological resilience.
These Children are likely to have very less interest in social interactions which leads to problems like whenever they meet different people in different situations they don’t have the ability to adapt to that environment. Sometimes they don’t even know how to greet people. Peer relations particularly very important factor for the development of children as it helps children to identify what kind of children he wants to be in the future and also acts as a social landmark as adolescents gains the confidence to handle their emotional dependence and their reliability upon their parents and becoming independent as a grown-up. This trait is lacked in the children who spend more time staying alone.
The children with less social interactions lack social competence. Social competence is defined as a philosophy which involves various abilities and qualities such as confident self-perception, social contention, regularity of interaction, social intellectual qualities, admiration in friends.
Their is an imperative need for involvements to assistance them who are frequently lonely to reduce the perils of them becoming lonely adults as the social and cognitive development during their childhood lays the foundation of their development of their whole life.
