  • It comprises of all the nervous tissue outside brain and spinal cord.
  • It contains sensory and motor neurons.

  • Function : It functions to connect body organs (muscles, glands) to the central nervous system.


2. The another name for the visceral motor nervous system is : Autonomic nervous system.

Its two subdivisions are :

  • Sympathetic nervous system
