Information on Nerve tissue if it can be 250 words that would be great.
The nerve tissue is the main component and part of the nervous system which helps in controlling and regulating all the body functions. The nerve tissue is made of nervous system unit called neurons which helps in transmission of information as it helps in receiving and transmitting the impulse. Apart from the nerve cells, it also consists of neuroglial cells and within the central nervous system, there are four types of neuroglia cells present which are astrocytes, microglial cells, ependymal cell and oligodendrocytes. As the neurons are specialized nerve cells, they help in receiving and transmitting the nerve impulse across the membrane to next neuron cell. Being one of the major class of tissues among all the tissue, it is present within the peripheral and central nervous system. The neurons are specialized cells that transmit and conduct nerve impulse which consists of dendrites cell body and axon. The dendrites in the neurons helps in receiving incoming signals and helps in its movement towards the cell body. The neuroglial cells are responsible for many functions which helps in supporting the neurons. The astrocytes are those neuroglial cells which helps them to provide nutrients and helps in migration and movement of young neurons. The microglial cells helps in removal the debris from neurons. The ependymal cells line spinal cord and brain and helps in selective movement of molecule between cerebrospinal fluid and cells of CNS.
