Would a form of military for enforcement aid the effectiveness of the UN? (250 words)

United Nations is the universal organization in the world which is having more than 180 member countries and it has a lot of responsibilities and accountability of maintaining the peace and rule of order in the entire world. The different member countries add to this objective by either supporting with the help of monetary funds or by offering the military support in the form of peace keeping army.

There are a number of countries where these peace keeping missions are being regulated with the help of UN peace keeping mission which is made of the military assistance of several countries.

But if we look closely, opposite to the concept of using military might over the reassurance in various countries which are suffering from civil war, the UN seeks to create and maintain peace and security in states which are struggling with conflict. In most of the cases, in place of sending the military troops to the affected country, a number of missions are created by the UN such as political or peacekeeping missions, which aim to reconcile the conflict within these states.

In my opinion, using different types of peace keeping mission, negotiating with the problem creating organizations and offering mediation will be the better option for the UN in place of using military aid to these countries. The main logic behind it is that by offering military support, the local public can be against the UN peacekeeping army as they can treat it as an invasion by the foreign army and the situation can be worsened. At the same time, the attempts must be made for the non-military and non-violent processes such as negotiation and counseling while dealing with the various issues all over the world.
