What is your opinion of being an expert witness? What would make this role exciting, rewarding, or challenging?

Lets first understand the meaning of expert witness.

An expert witness is a specialised person who have in depth knowledge of any particular field ( say medicines, accounts. law etc) and he is bound to give his impartial opinion on the paritocular subject he is being expert in , in respect oa a legal case in the court of law.

This role is exciting, reawrding and challenging at the same time. as discussed below:

The role of a expert witness is exciting because they usually deal with the differet type of cases like civil and crimnals etc . So, there is always a excitement that " what coming next"? . Morover, during the proceedings we got to meet different types of people, which make it more interesting.

This role is rewarding because it makes you learn so much. With every different case new evidences come up and a new theory is discovered. for example: How a person died in the swimming pool, there can be many reasons for it. So one has to evaluate all the expects of it.

Challenge is the most significant element of being a expert witness, because the decision of the judge is depend uopn the evidence and explanation of the expert witness. So, if he /she goes wrong than it will lead to the incorrect judgement. So, its a challenge to come up every time with the correct theory

Moreover expert witness statement should be in sffirmation with testmony which makes it even more difficult to work on the whole case.
