Word count: at least 400 words.
Thank you in advance
It is necessary to have a personal development plan because this plan provides you the framework to identify strengths and weaknesses and come up with guidelines that will help in optimizing their existing capabilities and skills. When you create a personal development plan it can provide you time for self-reflection. It opens the doors for you to inspect that what are the opportunities on which you can work or that help succeed something. Our self-evaluation gives us awareness about personal development areas. This process is critical because it can set your straight path in career terms. When you know what you want to do In your life and you have a clear picture in front of you that you want to achieve in upcoming years then your personal development plan helps you to gear towards the progress of your career and your personality. By having goals in your life you are setting the desired direction. There are many times when we feel in our career in which we may feel uncertain that what my next move is going to be? This tells that you are ready to go in the same direction in which you have planned and you just need a kick start to achieve something.
While implementing the personal development plan it should make sure that you are following the SMART criteria
Another reason why PDP is required because it would be pointless if you won’t hold yourself accountable to follow your PDP and you never want the situation in which the if the interviewer will ask you that “what is the last thing you have done to improvise yourself in your last 6 months?”
Let’ take the example of the Wheel

The wheel includes personal growth, health, relationships, financial, social, emotional, creativity, and fun. The message behind the wheel of life is that development only occurs through the efforts and being intentional that how to grow in specific areas.
