In order to become a terrific manager the person should cultivate technical, conceptual and human skills. The technical skills would help the manager to perform the specific job successfully and is most important for lower level managers. It includes the job specific knowledge in the particular field like programming knowledge for a software project manager. The conceptual skills would help the manager to visualize the whole organization and make better decisions by thinking analytically. The manager needs to solve the problems efficiently understanding the consequences. It is important skill for top managers. The human skills would help the manager to develop better relationship with the team members. The human skills would include the ability to communicate , ability to listen and the ability to motivate the employees. It also helps to develop trust and ensure cooperation from employees including other departments as well.
