Should race and gender be taken into account in medical research as well as in clinical practice? Why would you say agree and why would you disagree?
Answer: The race and gender are one of the factors which influences the individual's health. So, research or clinical practice requires several factors for the consideration while finding and performing the research for the particular disease or treatment procedures. Hencebit is important that race and gender should be taken into consideration while performing the research. It has been found that some of the diseases and risk rate are higher in one of the gender while other has the less probability. Hence it should taken in to consistent analysis to research about the health cases or in the clinical practice. The other things is the race, diversity in the population makes things more complicated. Different traditional values and beliefs are being followed such as sometimes eating vegetarian foods, or blood transfusion is prohibited in some of the traditional practice. Hence these are the factors which importantly influences the health condition of a patient or person. So, it should be considered in the research practice.
Although there are several reasons to includes the race and gender consideration while performing the clinical practice, but in the case where it can create biased results. The partiality could take place which should led that race and gender consideration should be avoided.
