In regards to gun control legislation and gun violence in America. List and label the variables, including independent, dependent, intervening and moderating.
Introduction- The control legislation derived by gun laws in US, the report on national crime described that approximately 90 percent of crimes committed by guns. The mass murder in schools and colleges can be controlled by gun control legislation, here we will cite some variables.
Independent Variables- The definition of independent variables says “ An independent variable is a variable that is changed or controlled in an experiment or research” in the case of gun control legislation, the independent variable are laws, regulations and legislation, because the change in the independent variable can cause the change in dependent variables.
Dependent Variables- The dependent variable depends on independent variables, in the given topic, the dependent variables are crime rate, arrest, injuries etc. because the change in legislation and laws will surely affect the crime rate, injuries etc.
Intervening and Moderating variables- The intervening variables are hypothetical statements and conditions which describes the relation between independent and dependent variables. The intervening variables in above topic may be defined as social structure, gun culture, firearms reach and availability and economic backgrounds etc.
