Brain plasticity is the capability of the brain to be able to
change and to re-establish its connections biologically. The term
brain plasticity is also known as Neuroplasticity. The
Neuroplasticity can be enhanced in the following ways:
- Intermittent energy restriction- It has been proven that
intermittent fasting helps with neuroplasticity as it promotes the
extension of the neurons, helps in decreasing neural disease The
fats produce hormones called as leptin, which comes down due to
fasting. This results in the production of added energy and hence
increasing the brain plasticity.
- Learning an art form- When a person engages himself or herself
in learning a new art form, the established connections of the
brain are re-established. When the brain is in the stable mode,
which is called as the Default state network, this state improves
the memory of the person and also enhances concentration
power.
- More use of non dominant hand- Less use of the dominant hand
comes as an execrise for the brain. As our brain finds it difficult
to cope up with things in the start, this explains that getting
used to, of using the non dominant hand more releases new ways for
the neurons..
