Describe the career criminal perspective. Why did critics believe that “career” was a poor metaphor?

(The idea of career criminality is based on the assumption that some criminals are committed to a life of crime. In other words, they have a worldview built around criminal activity. They define themselves as criminals and tend to associate with other criminals.)

A career criminal is an individual or a person who break/violates the law frequently. A career criminal systematizes or put his or her life making criminality as a focal point or something around criminality. They often start at very tender age and never cease himself/herself of offending or breaking laws at middle age. The actual number of crimes or threshold limit to describe someone as career criminal is not exact and always arguable, but according to DeLisi (2005), if a person has 5 or more than 5 arrests or police contact, he/she qualifies for a career criminal.

Career means the arrangement and advancement of an individual to achieve success in his or her work or personal life. Career goes through several stages through which individuals in a specific sector and work related division travel over the span of their business. As career is always associated with something positive, it’s a very bad metaphor to be associated with crime, As crime is always having a bad connotation and degrading. Career criminal has been connected to dissecting the different phases of a person's contribution with criminal movement. Career criminal is one whose criminality is much the same as a career. Career criminals have experienced the small time to the majors and commit numerous parts of their life to criminality. Career criminals have a tendency to perpetrate a huge part of the aggregate sum of wrongdoing in a group. Career criminality is related with a person's presentation to degenerate sub-societies particularly those that exist in pitifully controlled zones of society.
