Why did william shlensky believe that the directors did not use good judgement?

Solutions

Expert Solution

William Shlensky wanted Baseball matches to be played under flood lights to increase the sales of tickets in the baseball matches and hence increasing revenue. Other teams ha started using floodlights which resulted in higher attendance in baseball matches which where played in weekdays.

Shlensky believed that the directors were influenced by personal bias rather than good judgement in not allowing floodlights in the matches. The directors argued that it would affect the neighborhood which would be affected by lights at night .Moreover the belief that baseball was a day game was personal bias which ignored the rights of shareholders . The less revenue as compared to other teams and lesser attendance in matches clearly showed the lack of judgement by the directors.
