After making a programming change in a major bank's computer systems, an employee forgot to configure the system correctly, resulting in 800,000 direct deposit requests not being posted until the next day. Is this computer error? If you were the bank president, how would you describe this problem?
Hi, I would love to answer you with the question. Hope you like an answer and get a clear idea related to the same. So not wasting much time lets get started towards the question.
If someone directly requested deposit of 800000 and its not been posted until next day, this may be a computer error. Explaining this there may be some error inside the code which is not able to process the multiple requests at a time like if there were thousands different requests been made at the time of before and the system cannot handle multiple requests to complete within the time then this process of transfering 800000 will be inside the memory stored for being processed. So after processing the other requests which were been made before the time or on the time this request of deposit will be confirmed.
This may be the one way of this error and the second error may be in the connectivity issue which may be due to some of the certain factors in the networking domain like environmental isuues and the cabiling issues or the routing problems and server connectivity. Due to which the server takes a lot of time to complete the requests, if this type of issue is there then the computer error is not relevant.
This was all if i would have been a banks president then i would have described it in this way.
Hope you like an answer and get a clear idea related to the same
