Health care system are burning topics in U.S.This is a topic which is a leading the discussions at national level. The major concern of U.S is the growing rate of people not opting for the medical insurance.According to a report of WHO,out of 191 countries, the facilities provided in U.S is ranked 37 and it is an alarming situation for the country.

A major relief has come in the form of Veterans Affairs(VA).These provide a lot of facilities which the other private hospitals do not provide and are provided in government run health care system. These features are:

  1. It has a centralized health care administration and contains the record of the patient in its health care system through integrated health information system.
  2. It is less expensive.
  3. Provide a medical plan with complete evidence.

These are the few reasons which distinguish VA from private hospitals. The pateint who come to VA are mostly people from lower income group and this is the main reason why VA is often treated as an example of government-run health care system and this is also the reason that it is running more effectively as compared to other for-profit and nonprofit health care organizations.

Another reason is that many patient who have survived war situtaion take the medication from the VA.Also it has a higher volume of affiliation which is more than 100 acadmic health care centers. It helps in nurturing the future of the students and this high volume is not provided in any other health care organizations.
