Solutions

Expert Solution

Insulin has many functions in the brain. If any dysregulation of these functions may lead to neurodegenerative disorders.

In the absence of insulin the cells cannot uptake glucose so blood gluy levels are raises and leads to disease called type 2 diabetes mellitus.it is characterized by higher levels of glucose in the blood. Higher than normal blood glucose levels contribute to neurodegenerative process.Neurodegenaration related to glucose impairs cognitive function that is the people loose ability to think and they develop conditions like dementia: memoy loss . Alzheimer's disease that destroys memory and mentale function.

Insulin in the brain regulated by central nervous system.Brain insulin role is modulating the dopaminergic pathways in the brain. If any impairment in the insulin signalling effects the dopaminergic pathways leads to symptoms of neurological disorders.Brain insulin resistance that is the cell in the brain are unable to respond to insulin that leads to impairments in the brain.
