  2. Personality tests: Personality tests are self-report inventories or questionnaires that aim to assess an individual’s underlying traits and predispositions. Additionally, such tests are able to provide information about an applicant's attitudes and interpersonal skills.
  3. Biographical data selection: Biographical data selection involves the use of various methods such as paper-and-pencil questionnaires, interviews, and communications with past employers in order to assess an individual's values and integrity.
  4. Ability tests: Depending on the nature of the job for which the selection process is carried out, different ability tests can be utilised such as psychomotor ability tests, cognitive ability tests and physical ability tests to measure an individual’s ability to carry out the tasks responsibilities associated with the role.
  5. Work sample: Work sample technique involves an evaluation of how well a applicant is able to complete a particular assignment that simulates the actual job. This provides an indicator of the individual’s performance and learning speed as well.
