Do you think the United States (or the country where you live) should phase out dependence on imported oil? Write up a three-point program that you would use to accomplish this. List two major challenges you would face in achieving this goal and explain how you could deal with each.

Major share of oil comes from Middle east that is approximately 12000km from America.

The oil has to pass through gulf of Hormuz, Persian gulf, gulf of Oman like various hostile regions.

From stability point of view these area's geopolitical scenarios can change with in few hour.

By religion these are muslims majority followers of orthodox practice except few countries like Turkey.

Longterm investment aiming at extraction of oil may topple the economics of America if any unfortunate things happen.

These countries are in race for grabbing the power to rule the islamic world. There are two axis of power centre is developing right now bssed on orthodox theology.

Oil is a fossil fuel, it has limited deposits. One day it must deplete it.

America should shift energy extraction from oil to renewable energy.

Like India is cleverly focusing on nuclear energy generation raw material ,it is importing from Canada, Australia.

India vast deposit of thorium in the beaches of east coast and west coast that is approximately 7800km

Although its concentration is less,placer type of deposition electrostatic method can be used for beneficiation processes.

The world energy scenario changing from solid to liquid to gas.For an example use of solid coal by British people made him great during industrial revolution.

From 1960 or 70 the energy shifted towards coal, then shifted to gas.

Now energy shiftsh towards tidal energy, wind energy, solar energy, geothermal energy .

This thing to be emphasized to retain energy and power share of world.
