Play impart major contribution in cognitive development of adolescents. It is so because, there remains various stages in which one needs to solve various problems. It inspires adolescents to think in a critical manner by their own.
Learning takes place all the time and they learn how to execute different different functions according to the learnt skills. Playing together helps in understanding the importance of collaboration with others.
It also helps in understanding and developing the relationships. Adolescents also learn to perform various experiments of different different intensities. Play also helps in physical development. They also learn to control the emotional turmoil.
They learn to behave in a social manner which ultimately helps in their overall cognitive development. Play also helps in behavioral development because a person tends to behave differently in different different situations.
Adolescent people also learn to maintain a balance between competitive spirit and cooperation. All these keep positive pressure on their thought process which ultimately leads to cognitive development.
