Brian was referred by his resident advisor, who saw him intoxicated seven times in the past month. Brian has missed multiple classes because he was hungover from drinking the night before and he recently got a ticket for public drunkenness.

Drinking behavior is a hot topic these days. Many psychologists use different tools to screen out the drinking behavior of a person. But the most time the tool is used for screening is an Alcohol screening test. It is the most important and consistently used tool in clinical settings. Screening is used to find out the risk behavior of a person. It is not only a screening tool but it also determines at what level a person reached risky behavior. The alcohol screening test is made in a very simple method to screen out excessive drinking behavior. It is used to assist the assessment for the client. If people find the stage at which the person reached out can assess themselves and help those people who are alcohol abuse. We use an alcohol screening test for Brian because through this inventory we can assess the level of drinking behavior. After completion of the screen test, a brief assessment can be done. This test is very useful because this test has another use as well. When we use this test to screen out the behavior it carried out many other potential benefits for patients. This test will educate the patient about what is the benefit of low-risk of consuming alcohol and the high risk of consuming alcohol.
Motivation therapy will play a great role in the treatment of the patient. The motivational interview will accept Brian's relapse phase that is the common experience with the people who try to quit drinking. If the patient gets relapse it is no sign of failure as a therapist consider but it is another chance for the patient to move forward, to get rid of their bad situation.
