2. What are some of the philosophical issues that should be considered between the change agent and the client before engaging in the launch phase of OD, and why are these issues important to the change process?
Some of the philosophical issues which must be considered between the change agent and the client before engaging in the launch phase of OD, are as follows:
· There can be chances that the new intervention of the OD may not be fruitful for the organization
· The employees may show resistance to the change process
· The change process may compromise data of the client to the change agent
These issues need to be resolved for successful implementation of the change process. The change agent will be required to enter a confidential agreement before getting access to client’s data. This way, the data of client’s company will remain protected. The change agent will be required to come up with propositions so as to align the employees of the company with the change process. The change agent will also be required to come up with a cost benefit analysis of the new change. This way, the importance of the OD intervention for the change process will get established as well as facilitated by the company.
