Should constitutional amendments only change governmental structures, OR should they deal with social issues such as gun rights/gun safety? Explain your reasoning.
A constitutional amendment is an alteration of the constitution of an organization, state and other type of entity. Amendment, in government and law is known as addition made to a constitution, statute, and legislative bill or resolution. It can be made to prevailing constitutions and also usually made to bills. Subsequently, an Amendment of a national constitution can take part to change a country’s governmental structure or political system or institutions. Amending the Constitution in India is the procedure of making fluctuations to nation's fundamental laws and the government. Amendments can lead to the changes in governmental structure across the countries.
However, constitutional amendments should also deal with social issues such as gun rights or gun safety in a country. The second amendment of U.S. stands for "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
There were many arguments for the application of 2nd amendment in America and other U.S. countries for the question of having right to ban guns. Advocates of gun control claims that restriction of gun proprietorship will save lives of many. According to some this law will protect collective right of the states to maintain militias, and not an individual’s right to own guns and others say city residents should keep guns to protect themselves against crime.
Yet, a constitutional amendment should always deal with the gun right and safety and amend laws for city residents to secure and protect from unwanted violence across the nation, along with governmental structures and organizations.
