Can collaboration and partnership between communities and governments address the problem of improving the quality of services or is it simply a cost cutting strategy? - link to wicked issues
The government across the world is making collaboration with the communities to increase the quality of the services. It not only increases the quality of the services but it also reduces the cost at the same time. This is because government has many things to execute, it has to run whole the country hence its attention is divided while the private companies are having better technology and work for the quality. Quality delivery companies’ give them long term life. Again the decision making process in government is very slow and complicated; If they make any infrastructure alone then they take more time in taking a decision. Unfortunately there are very low numbers of government who take very fast decisions.
Government has poor technology because of those the cost is increased and time is also taken to finish any project. The quality is not delivered with those technologies.
There are financial agreements and quality of services because of those the private communities are able to deliver better results. That improves the quality of the service and cost as well.
Collaboration with the communities saves the government from allocating resources to each places. By this wat the work of the government is reduced and it focuses on the quality of the services.
There may be corruption in the Government and solely work of government will force corruption.
So ultimately the collaboration with the private communities and government not only reduces the cost but improve the quality as well. But the condition is that the government should monitor and review the performance frequently.
